Cleveland Kid's Book Bank Challenge Begins

Support Cleveland Kid’s Book Bank with Your Gently Used Books!

Bring on the friendly competition — we are competing with Lakewood ECPTA and Bay Village on a book collection challenge to benefit Cleveland Kid’s Book Bank for the month of October. Who can collect and donate more? Let's get competitive for a good cause! Studies show that being read to as a child and having books in the home are the two most important predictors of future academic success. Yet two-thirds of low-income families do not own a single children’s book!

Our critical need is books for babies through early readers (board books, learn to read books) and books showing diversity.

The Cleveland Kid’s Book Bank accepts new and gently used books in good condition:

Board Books (cardboard pages, durable)

Picture Books (books parents would read to their children)

Beginning Readers (ex. Step Into Reading, I Can Read)

Note: The Cleveland Kid’s Book Bank cannot accept adult books, magazines, textbooks, en-cyclopedias, coloring books, or books with torn covers. GET YOUR KIDS INVOLVED! Sit down with your child and have them pick out books they no longer want or need to give to other kids who need books!

Bring new and gently used books to the Tuesday, October 9th meeting (you may win a gift card) and to the Halloween Party at Goldwood on Saturday, October 20th.

Donation drop-offs also welcome at 21484 Kenwood Avenue, Rocky River. Leave donations in the brown bin on the patio! Thank you for your donations! Let’s win this challenge!
