About RRECPTA Sunshine Committee

The Sunshine Committee is put in place to help a family who may be in need of a little extra help once a new baby arrives into their family. When an RRECPTA family has a new baby, one of our Sunshine volunteers prepares and delivers a meal to the family. The committee typically sets up one meal delivery for each family but can also set up meal trains if desired. Meals can also be delivered to families who are going through a difficult time.
We are also looking for volunteers to cook and drop off meals to families. Each volunteer is typically assigned one family to drop off a meal for when we are notified of a new baby. You don’t have to be a good cook to participate! Pizza delivery, frozen lasagna, or gift cards for a local restaurant delivery are also welcome options, especially in times like this.
